​Our Spirituality
The Discalced Nuns of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary
belong to the Carmelite Order reformed and renewed by St. Teresa of Avila.
The Teresian Carmel integrates the Spirit and traditions of the Order, which is Christocentric, Marian, and Biblical with the apostolic and ecclesial spirit of a purely contemplative life.
CHRISTOCENTRIC
Jesus is our Divine Spouse and Intimate friend. We live a life of allegiance to Him as we strive to imitate His life and serve Him with a pure heart and a good conscience.

We belong to the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is our mother, teacher and model in living our vows in the context of our contemplative vocation.

BIBLICAL
We belong to the race of the Holy prophets of Mount Carmel. We look up to St. Elijah as our spiritual father and regard him as inspiration in our contemplative and prophetic vocation.
